Dell D630 Disk read error on start up!!!
I tried to reload Windows XP Pro SB 2 into this laptop and now I get a disk read error occurred. The problem was I bought it off E-Bay and have no recovery disk for it and Dell tossed their hands up at me because I don't have the business name of the company that owned it first. Help what can I do. Need to will the hard drive clean and reload but how?
Thanks for the help up front. Dude I got a DELL!!! |

Re: Dell D630 Disk read error on start up!!!
Are trying to do a fresh install? Are you using original/genuine XP CDs? If so what part of the installation do you see a Disk read error?
Have you tried booting from Cd/DVD drive using a bootable CD media?
