Dell Studio 15 - Keyboard doesn't work!

I'm not too good with computer based...stuff so excuse me if what I'm about to say makes very little sense, but please bare with me...

For a while now the keyboard and touch pad on my haven't been working properly. The touch pad is giving me nothing, pressing with some force on the keyboard with usually results in something but I don't like to do that for fear of making things worse.

I have done nothing in the way of dropping the laptop, dropping/spilling anything on the laptop, I just turned it one one afternoon to find it wasn't working.

Is it a driver problem? Or something else I know even less about. Essentially, I'd like to know if there was anything I can do before ringing the lovely people at Dell.

Not really . . the problems you describe indicate a hardware problem with the laptop . . how old is it? . . is it still under warranty?

its a problem with u r keyboard nd touch pad if u r mechine is under waranty means just replace both things.

18004258045 dis is DELL tech support no try to cal they guide u

I bought it in August, so...like 5 months old. It's still under warranty so I'll give dell a call.
