Inspiron 1520, when will it end
Hey there, looking for some good free advice seen as how my local computer store charged me £100's just to atempt to fix my laptop.
Recently I have been experiencing lots of freezes and crashes, at all sorts of differen points, sometimes after 6 hours sometimes it crashes booting. I have followed up every definitive error message i have been given and solved that problem, only to discover another. Unfortunately I dont last long enough to run any real diagnostics myself and igenerally freeze and have to manually turn off rather than rebooting and been told whats wrong. I have replaced the memory after that was giving me trouble, that is fxed now as memtest86 found no problems and I no longer get memory error messages. But does anyone have any clue what could be causing these sporadic crashes? Give me a suggestion and ill try knock them on the head one by one. The laptop started playing up shortly after the warranty expired (surprise..) and repairs from a dealer are so expensive i may aswell replace, but id rather fix it. Plus im skint for now, just got anew tv and xbox360 for the bedroom ![]() Sorry for wall of text, and any missing letters i missed sorry, keyboard low on battery. Thanks in advance, Tom |
