Hi there.
I know this issue has been discussed already multiple times on this forum and especially the following posts have helped me a great deal http://www.techsupportforum.com/hardware-support/driver-support/312849-solved-need-xp-drivers-cq60-110eg.html , http://www.techsupportforum.com/hardware-support/driver-support/309828-solved-need-driver-cq60.html but unfortuately I still experience problems in installing hte video drivers for my CQ60. After successful installation of the chipset driver (according to BCCOMP's instactions - thank's pal btw) I fail to install the video drivers. I've already search the INET and even tried modded infs http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=22323, but still without success. Original drivers are not accepted during force driver installation ("...cannot find the necessary software") and modded onces install but don't work properly. Can anyone give me clue, since fefi seems to have been successful in his attempt on the same machine. Any help would be appreciated. ![]() Cheers.

Re: Video Driver Prob on Compaq Presario CQ60-110EG
Hi dai.
Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I know. HP does no longer support XP - otherwise we wouldn't have that kind of problems. The video chip set is NVidia GeForce 8200M. Downloaded both latest and most stable drivers from the nvidia HP, but neither original nor modded versions do work on my Presario CQ60-110EG. Other did seem to have similar problems but resolved them by means yet unkown to me. ![]() Cheers.

Thank's again, dai, for your input.
Unfortunately I've already tried that one and it didn't work. Either I'm missing something obviously or simply don't have any luck with this driver stuff. ![]() Normally downgrading from Vista only takes an hour, but now this Laptop has been keeping me on the edge for almost three days now. ![]() Nonetheless I'm still hoping for a great idea from you guys. Cheers.

Re: Video Driver Prob on Compaq Presario CQ60-110EG
This should be your driver:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce...9.28_beta.html You may have to manually install it through the Device Manager. Bill |
