Downgrading from Vista Business to XP
Heya guys,
I am a season veteran when it comes to PCs and Laptops. But then all good things have to come to an end. My HP DV9689EA has made me the biggest idiot of all. 1st thing I did was to disable Native SATA support. Couldn't find it. HP removed it from their customised bios. Downloaded the recommended drivers from HP. Started installing XP, pressed F6 during install, chose the drivers ... and bingo no hard drives found. Called HP and was told to use XP SP3. What I did was, I got an XP CD and slipstreamed it with SP3 using nLite and installed XP. Worked like a charm. Found the hard drives on iastor78 and installed. Just when u think everything is fine and dandy, system reboots and goes into Windows the 1st time and BADABING BADA BOOM ... BSOD. Doesn't allow to me to go into windows at all. Boots up goes to windows startup screen and boom BSOD ... Can someone please help me???????? |
