Acer Charging Problem

Hi there,

I have been having a problem for quiet a while with my acer laptop.

I have a 5570-4315 & it was perfectly working until i encountered a problem with the charging.

When the laptop is on & u plug in the ac adapter, it doesnt charge or do anything.
To get it to charge, you have to turn it off , then plug the ac adapter.

I REALLY need help with this problem!!!

Maybe you need to update BIOS version...
I have had issues with my Acer laptop too, when I wake laptop from stand-by laptop would get hotter a lot and it would turn off...
After I updated BIOS to the newest version, I dont have problems anymore...
Go to Acer web site and look for latest BIOS version for your model [dont update with any beta versions, they are not stable]
Keep us posted...

Are you able to try with different adapter???
It is odd that you need to shut down your laptop, plug adapter, turn it on and it will start to charge... And you need to do this every time...
I thought it is BIOS issue, I am not sure it is adapter issue but it is worth to try...
How old is laptop???
Is laptop usually on charging when you are at home for example or at work or you are working till your battery goes low, then you charge battery and so forth...
