[SOLVED] Cant formate Vista to XP

Hi all!
ive got a damn problem here ive been working with since 2 days! i cant figure the problem.
I cant see any SATA in boot
I cant formate cuz when it says Press F8 to agree terms an error apears

ERROR:
Cant find any installer version of windows on computer. nstallprogram need to accept(or something) that u have right to use this oppgradeprogram.
Add in one of this windows cd in cd rom stasjon : WINDOWS XP HOMOEWINDOWS 95, or windows nt workstation 3.51.1(fullversion) , windows 200 profe

Press enter if cd is in cdroom
Press F3 to quit

:( i really need to formate this ****

PC:
Laptop
LG E500
2 gb ram
160 gb hdd
395 mb screen someshit
etc etc.. i dont know much about it but any bells ? ANY IDea THX!

have you collected all the required drivers together for xp before starting
xp does not have sata drivers
set sata to be seen as ide in the bios by right clicking on the the sata entry and choosing ide
because you are using an upgrade disk,when it asks you will need to put in a previous version of windows disk to verify your right to use the upgrade disk to do the install

When you go to install an XP Upgrade you get a message that you need a previous operating system disc (Win98, ME, 2000, Win95). This does not mean Vista.
Do you have an old copy of these operating systems?

IHave vista on my laptop i want to downgrade to XP but i get this error

( understand ? ) while im booting xp i get accept bla bla but then this error come :(

You want to reformat your Vista PC and downgrade to XP, Correct?
You are using an XP Upgrade disc (NOT a FULL XP Operating disc) Correct?
An Xp Upgrade disc require that you have an OLDER version of Windows to comply with the installation.
A FULL version of XP will not require this.
VISTA is not recongnized by XP as an OLDER operating system seeing VISTA was not out when XP Upgrade came out. Vista is the NEWEST version.

You will need either a FULL XP OS or a previous version of Windows (95, 98, ME, 2000).
You do not need to install the OLDER version on the computer, but you will need to have an older version of windows to comply with the XP UPGRADE requirements.

One thing for sure... If you are doing XP downgrade from Vista, you need to do a full install from XP disk. This involves pressing F6 (not F8) at the beginning of the install. There is no message during the initial setup so you have to be fast. Within 2 or 3 seconds after startup. A screen will appear asking if you want to load third party drivers (like SCSI). This is your only chance to load drivers that will recognize your SATA HDD.
It gets worse because you will need a USB floppy (yes, an A:\ drive with a floppy disk in it powered by USB) that has the SATA drivers you need for your hard drive. Once you download the SATA drivers for your drive, plug in the A: drive into a vacant USB port and load the drivers. The XP installation will then see your HDD and load all the needed files to finish the job. Good luck, be patient.
One other thing. When you find your drivers they will usually be compressed. You must unzip them to the A: drive floppy, don't just copy the compressed file to the A:
Best of luck, be very very patient. It will eventually work.

Post the errors you have in the device manager.
Please do not try to find these drivers yourself or install any drivers.
If you do and in the wrong order you will be doing this all over again.
If you can run Everest (under my signature) and post the report to the thread.

Sorry the info you have posted and linked me to will not do the job.
Copy and Paste the Everest Report to Note Pad and save the file.
Use the GO ADVANCED tap and use the paper clip (Attachment) to post it to the thread.

Can you also post the errors (yellow !) you have in the Device Manager?
