SONY Laptop Help!
Hi all, hope you can help, I have a Sony Vaio VGN S5XP laptop.
My laptop fell from about 2 metres and cracked the screen, I couldn't tell if it was working until I took it apart. I ordered a new screen which wasn't sony but was told it would fit, the only differance was that the video connector on the back of the screen was the wrong way round so I had to turn the cable round for it to be able to connect. Here's the thing. Without the screen attached the laptop powers up normally, as soon as I attach the video cable the laptop makes a clunk noise and turns off. The backlight is on and I have tried a new power strip, below the screen and its the same problem. Please help? |

Re: SONY Laptop Help!
I am not sure about this but I think the video cable may not be fitted in the right way.
