Laptop completely unresponsive
Hey guys,
First off, apologies if this has been covered thousands of times before, I did a few searches and read the stickies and couldn't find the exact same problem I have. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. My laptop is dead. No lights, no sounds, nothing. Might as well be one of those plastic display models at best buy. Last night it was working fine, tried to turn it on this morning and absolutely nothing happened. Some details: - Dell Inspiron 1520, about 1.5 years old - Haven't done anything at all unusual with it recently - no new software, updates, defragging, haven't even downloaded any music in a week or so. - I use it for word processing, internet, and torrent downloads of movies/music, and some statistical software (Eviews and SPSS) - It was plugged in overnight Any ideas? I've tried unplugging everything, taking the battery out, blowing in every vent I could find and that's about it. I would really appreciate any suggestions. Cheers, Zdeno |

Re: Laptop completely unresponsive
Hi Zdeno,
Try a reset first as sometimes it helps. Remove battery and ac adapter then press and hold power ON button for 30 seconds at least. Put back the battery and plug back the ac adapter then power ON as normal.
