[SOLVED] XP on Satellite A300

Dear members,
I bought 3 days before, a Toshiba Satellite A300 which is running Windows Vista. I formatted the disk(so the Vista has been deleted) and I tried to install Windows Xp. When I insert the XP disk, it loads the files, and before show the screen about the partitions, it shows the Blue Error Screen and the error is
0x0000007b (0x78d2524 0xc0000034 0x00000000
0x00000000).
I suppose, that this laptop supports Windows XP, because Toshiba has drivers for XP.
Do you have any ideas???

you will probably have to load a driver with f6 for it to see the drive

ok, but how I load the driver? through the card reader? because there is no floppy drive. Just Optical drive, but the optical "contains" the XP disc..

Most newer BIOS allow an Alternate method for SATA . . Go into the bios and check the "Sata Operation" setting, change it to "Raid Autodetect/ATA or IDE if it is not already.

The Wording will vary by manufacturer

The only setting I found for SATA is to set the SATA Controller Mode and the values are:
1) AHCI
2) Compatibility

which one?
