acer 4070 touchpad and keyboard problem
hi there
i have an acer travelmate 4070 recently it has developed a problem that once the windows xp boot the mouse and keyboard stop working if they move the speed of cursor is in ages. the processor functions fine. the fan is working fine, ram is also ok,harddisk has no bad sector,windows is reinstalled after formating the hardisk. but the problem stays. recently i have seen that once i reinstal the win xp till the registering of components mouse cursor and keyboard work fine but after the registering of the components both stop functioning if i connect the usb keyboard then only that i can use this is sos call is anyone know the answer |

Re: acer 4070 touchpad and keyboard problem
Boot with another operating system via live CD (Knoppix or Ubuntu) and see if mouse or pointer behaves the same way. If it does, run Memtest86+ to test your RAM modules. Also test your HDD for hardware errors. Use HDD maker's diagnostic tool (see my sig for links).
