Dell laptop 600m...help

I spilled ice tea on my laptop and it died. I was told by dell it was the mother board so I went on line and bought a mother board...never installed one before...
Now I have removed the old one and tried to keep track of all the parts and screws and I found 2 small sliver half round parts left on my bench, Can someone tell me where they go or direct me to a list of parts.
Thanks

I checked the manual and you are right, there seems to be no part like it. I am guessing it where the LCD hinges go but I am not really not sure.

Re: Dell laptop 600m...help

Thanks any way...Here is what I got from a tec at Dell....

Thank you for contacting Dell Technical Support. I will be glad to assist you.

From your e-mail I understand that you are facing an issue with your System, Inspiron 600 M with Windows XP on it, as you are trying to install system board and two half circular parts are left.
Tony, the picture which you have provided has two parts. We are unable to identify the part, it seems that it is any broken part.
Have you tried to switch On the system after replacing system board?
