Re: Laptop Battery

Hi, sorry to say, the best thing you can do is get a new battery. This is a normal thing that eventually happens to all recharable batteries.

Be glad the battery lasted 3 years, that seems like a decent amount of time for it acutally. I think dell batteres typically go in a year or two from what I seen.

The only way to improve the battery life is to do some energy cutting, like lower brightness on the monitor, keep the fans from spinning, etc. But at this point it may not show as much of an affect.

I happen to try being really careful with my battery, like it is only in the laptop when I need it or its charging, and when it is charging, I try to keep the laptop as cool as I can. Things like that. My laptop is just over a year now and the battery is the same as new or better really.
