my sound problem

hi im new to this site and am wondering if anyone can help me out
i bought a gateway laptop a few months ago, sound worked fine but i had to format, the recovery console was deleted when i got it so i dont have my drivers there anymore, i have everything working fine except my sound, in my device manager i have everything installed except my SM bus controler, but i dont think thats the problem my Realtek AC'97 audio has a yellow circle with the black ! and it says
This device cannot start. (Code 10)

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.

iv uninstalled and reinstalled the device and driver from the gateway website aswell as the realtek website...

im wondering if anyone can help me out?

link to my laptop specs

and heres the site where i got the realtek driver
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/
once at that site i clicked on the AC'97 audio codecs software
