Once i transferred my laptop from my kitchen to bedroom without turning it off and it gave me a message system halted ...contact vendor. after that its been giving me problem. when i start the laptop there is nothing on the screen ,i can hear processor and i tried putting cd in cs drive ,that was also working and i can hear it, but still there is nothing on the screen. sometimes the system starts normally after moving screen a bit. but its frustrating. Can anybody tell me what can be the problem. fyi-i tried removing the battery , ram and hard drive but it didnt help much. |

Re: system halted...contact hardware vendor
Best if you can get the screen shot of the message.
Does it happen each time you move the laptop regardless when plugged in or not? I am asking because you said your battery is finished so given that, I am assuming you unplug it when you move it from one room to another which could cause an immediate shutdown as soon as you unplug it from the wall outlet.
