sony vaio fs315e l

hi my dvd disk drive wont play anything it loads and tells me whats there but plat ant selection box does not come up when disc is inserted>>>>>>>>>??????????

Try deleting upper/lower filters first. Or you can use CDGONE.REG (google d/load site). You can also try your DVD drive in another Sony Vaio just for isolation purposes.

were r the filters ive uninstalled the driver and it reloaded it it shows the disc in thhe drive but when you click on the drive it does not show play i can click explore and the files are there if i open windows media it will play manually

You mean when you pop in an audio/video CD and right-click on the CD/DVD drive in My Computer, you do not see PLAY ?
