IBM ThinkPad 600 Battery backup
I am getting this laptop operational. It was given to my daughter. An error 161 appears; which is 'dead battery backup'. The lithium battery reads dead, and it is not connected. I ordered a new one; but I don't see where it connects.

Hi,
Use this manual ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/pc/pccbbs...es/09n1033.pdf if you have 600 or 600E. There should be steps there on how to locate, remove and replace the battery backup.
