Touchpad help

I've got a hp pavilion dv9640 notebook and the touchpad stopped working yesterday. Can't get any movement from it. Have to use a usb mouse. I've surfed and tried to find an answer and couldn't find one. Driver says that it's working properly (to which I know it's not) and I've tried to find a combination of keys to turn it on (fn + ?). I'm not finding what I need. I'm sure that this has been worked over and over but if anyone has some info I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Re: Touchpad help

Have you taken it apart to see if you have any lose connections?
If it's not that and it has stopped working completely then a replacement is an option...although an expensive one!
