Motherboard Help
Hi everyone
![]() I recently had a problem with my laptop, whenever I tried to charge it the charger light was flickering and the laptop stunk like burning plastic! I tried another charger but same thing happened. After that, I decided to buy and replace my motherboard myself. Now the problem, after replacing the motherboard When I try booting it up, the power light comes on, the cd tray clicks a few times and flashes. The screen is Blank and the Fan doesnt seem to spin or make any noise I have disassembled the laptop at least three times, Even bought new memory sticks and tried it and still the same result. I gave up after a while assuming it was faulty and sent the motherboard and back for a replacement,i received it, replaced it and the same thing is happening! Screen is totally blank, fan doesnt spin or anything. I have a suspicion it could be the CPU and I wanted some advice first on what the problem could be. If the CPU is burned out would the laptop still boot up IE fan spinning and screen functioning as per normal? Its doing my nut in! ![]() any advice and help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
