Acer laptop hard drive about partitons.

Laptop acer after getting these messege,

PXE-E61: Media Test failure, check cable
PXE-MOF: Exiting Broadcom PXE ROM.
Operating System not found.

I try to reboot up with windows xp cd, at the partions i got messege,

I have only space 7850 mb,
where as the hard drive is 40.gb,
and i could not partitoned it,
and i m at at the same point where i had to start,
anybody can tell me how can recover other 33gb space.

Normally you would delete the existing partitions and then repartition to whatever you require.

I partitioned my acer too. I get a similar error message wqhen I try to boot up from the DVRW drive. If I dont do that and simply try to boot up as normal I get 'missing operating system. All serious suggestions will be gratefully accepted. Thanks
