I was trying to fix my sisters computer which kept shutting down because it was overheating, so i went to see if i could open it up and take a look at the fan as i was convinced it was a hardware problem. I took out all the screws but couldn't separate the top and bottom covers. So i put all the screws back in and looked up how to service the fan module on the net. It turns out i don't have the the right screwdriver for the strange screws on the cooling module panel!
Anyway, i opened the ram and network card access panels just for a look, as I've never really tinkered with computers before, but didn't touch anything at all, i then screwed the covers back on and tried to start the laptop up again, but its just not happening! When i hit the power button it sounds like its starting for about 2 seconds and the just cuts out again, the power LED stays light however and nothing comes up on the screen. I know theres a lot of problems out there with satellites and cooling fans so I'm hoping someone has come across it and resolved it before. Thanks in advance Andrew. |

Re: My Toshiba Satellite A30 Won't switch on!
Could be your Ram need to reinserted again. Try take out the Ram and then reinserted back. IF still happend, take the ram out and use rubber to rub the metal parts on the RAM. Give it a try first.
