Vista freezes while using internet

Can anyone please help find out why my dell laptop(vista home premium ) hangs every time while i am on net, even at times when i am just accessing my mails

I need to forcibly shutdown and turn on again, as such i dont get any errror messages later

see if the event viewer lists anything at the time
