[SOLVED] Inaccessible_Boot_Device

I have a Dell latitude L400 laptop that came with windows 2000pro nt. I had to fdisk and reformat the hard drive and I reinstalled OS. I formatted and reinstalled the OS on a PC with a laptop ide adapter cable because my external cdrom for laptop will not work without drivers. The OS system boots just fine on my PC. But when I install in my laptop it boots to stop error Inaccessible_Boot_Device.

If your model has a floppy drive you could use the old fashioned Dos method.
i.e. install the cd rom drivers so as to boot to the cd drive.

I dont have floppy but will try to do on hard drive. Thanks

If you have installed the OS using another computer then it always does not work unless they are of the same make and model (not so sure about this). See the link below (tested)...
