System recovery problem(Toshiba-Vista)
My Toshiba satellite A300-15M came with a system recovery feature which uses a folder located in drive D instead of a recovery disk... also there is a tool that creates the recovery disk on the laptop...
After I recovered the laptop last time, I noticed that windows sidebar doesn't open, I tried to look for the firewall, antivirus... nothing seemed blocking the sidebar. Another problem is that the function key (FN) is not working properly, usually, when one presses the FN key, the fn toolbar appears in the upper side of the screen.. but some of the function keys are working but the fn toolbar doesn't open.. Also another problem is that two iexplore.exe processes are shown in the task manager while I don't use IE, I tried to end process them but they come back instantly.. when I install or uninstall many programs it requests me to close internet explorer before continuing where I am not opening it... A friend told me to buy a system recovery disk instead of using the one inside the laptop since there maybe a virus has infected the recovery folder in disk D -I always scan my laptop with updated kaspersky internet security and antispyware and an anti malware.. What do you think I should do??? |
