do a laptop need a driver when theres no OS??
Hi.... just wondering do a laptop need a driver when there is no Operating System?? cuz im planning to install Vista OS and also what is the minimum spec. for vista OS??

driver for what? maybe sata driver unless you are using recovery disks...

Without the OS, BIOS takes control. If you reformat, you would probably use recovery CD or a Vista install CD or DBAN or something similar. Once you start the installation, Windows will load the needed (base) drivers.
