HP Pavilion (dv2310ca) problem

Hello, I have a HP Pavilion dv2310ca Laptop and it seems to have a very critical problem. The problem is that the screen doesn't show anything at all! (it is totally blank!). Before this problem began, the screen just used to freeze up totally and now nothing!

The computer itself powers up ok but nothing on screen and computer freezes!

There was windows Vista installed on the computer (not sure if that as anything to do with the problem).

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
