Serious HelpNeeded!!

hello ... i need some help with my laptop... its Windows Xp and when ever i try to download something it wont download... something is wrong with with windows installer... i get error code 1601 ,,, and also my microsoft works automatically got removed and deleted... and i cant download powerpoint it told me that i have to verify that there is a file or something .. also i couldnt download itunes.... and ive had a digital camera that wenever i connected it with my laptop the program wood open up automatically and i could see the pictures but now wen i connected it , my laptop told me it couldnt detect the camera... nothing is rong with the camera though.... can you plzz help!! its would be greatly appreciated thx

check the windows instaer service is enabled in services
