Sony Vaio CR220E sound problem
Hi everyone newbie here, was wondering if anyone can help me out I have a Sony Vaio CR220E running windows Vista, everything works fine except when I unplug the power card my speakers seem to shut off I can plug in the headphones and get sound, The sound is not muted in windows either but no sound comes out of the speakers until i plug the power cord back in then restart the computer, any suggestions?

I have the exact same issue - mine is a Vaio VGN-CR4000, running Vista Business. It started after I installed Vista's SP2. Have you found a solution yet?

yes i had the microsoft voice recognition program installed and i had 2 different versions installed i just removed them all in control panel add/remove hardware or whatever it is called in vista and then it worked fine it was my last step before doing a reset hope the same works for you i think the program was called microsoft sdk
