Acer travelmate 529ATX restore factory settings

Hi there, I have a acer travelmate 529ATX for my daughter, I cannot uninstall certain programs she has installed and when I try to restore factory settings alt and f10 do not work, The hold alt and tapping f10 doesn't work. I do not have any recovery discs as the laptop never came with any. Can some please help me by advising how I can restore the laptop to it factory settings.

Have you tried the steps...
Laptop Recovery Instructions ?

If that does not work, you may need to order the recovery CDs form Acer.

I have tried the alt f10 steps it doesn;t work, acer say there are no recovery discs for that laptop
