Blown processor?
hey. Yesterday i was on my toshiba L 35 laptop which iv'e had for 2 years w/ no problems. I ran out of battery and it automatically went into sleep mode. I plugged it in, restarted it, and the computer did restart but the monitor remained completely black. The mouse was also not being powered by the usb. I plugged my external fan into the usb, and that still works. I've taken the battery out, restarted a million times, yet the screen remains black as the night.
Another important thing to note: When the comp is "on" , if i press the power button the computer immediatley shuts off. I would normally have to hold the poewr button for it to shut off. I don't even think the computer is even getting to bios (or whatever its called). WHAT THE HECK? |

Re: Blown processor?
Try... remove battery and unplug AC adapter. Press and Hold power ON button for 30 secs. at least. Plug back battery and AC adapter. Power ON as normal.

Re: Blown processor?
When you power ON, do you hear an activity from HDD and CD/DVD drives?

Re: Blown processor?
Well you can do that or you can just bring your laptop (this is a laptop right?) to a friend or a colleague who has a monitor that you can use for testing.
