Re: L2 cache? please help!!

Have you tried other tests? How about running Memtest86+ for like a few hours (overnight)?

Re: L2 cache? please help!!

Yes, I ran memtest for many hours, I think it went through 10 passes and was fine. Please any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I did run a seagate test on the hard drive and it came back bad so I bought a new one and installed a diferent os on it and it still freezes up.

Re: L2 cache? please help!!

If it continues to freeze in a different OS, it could be your video card (very likely) or motherboard.

Re: L2 cache? please help!!

I am not sure of any test that will isolate which one is causing the problem. But if you are using PCI express video cards, then may be you can look for a temporary replacement. That way if it continues to freeze then it is the motherboard.
