Toshiba laptop trouble connecting to Internet
I am having a problem connecting to the Internet with my Toshiba laptop (Satellite A105). My operating system is Windows XP. Here is the problem. I am connecting with an AT&T wired connection. I can connect to the Internet, but then once the system becomes updated automatically or after I shut the computer off, I can't connect the next time. I have fixed this by going to System Restore and restoring to a previous time, but I keep having to do this. I tried running the diagnostics after one of the Internet can't connect error messages, and it told me that there was a problem with the Winsock connection. Can I fix this myself or do I need to take this somewhere to be repaired. I am not very computer savvy, but follow directions well. I am not even certain I have connected to the right forum, but any advice is appreciated.
