Advent 5500 Disk Problems

Hi there, I have an Advent 5500 laptop a so called expert upgraded it for me with office 2007 ( he does this for a living ) however since he has done it, when I put any disk in to the driver it does not work at all it does spin around and I can hear it whirling bu does not do anything.

Does anyone have any ideas please, the man who put it on wants £50 to fix it even thou I strongly think it was his fault.

You mean the CD/DVD drive does not read or recognize CD/DVD media? Delete upper/lower filters or use CDGONE.REG (Google for download page). If symptoms persist, try with a good/working CD/DVD drive.
