help in downgrade to XP

hello

my probelm is simple

i bought a new laptop HP Pavilion dv6955ee it come with vista
i want to downgrade to XP but when i try the CP CD
as soon as i hit hte format or repair choice .. it tell me there is no Hard driver connect so make sure its bluged in power etc etc

when i restart the laptop Vista work normaly and i can see the drivers

well i thought it have something to do with motherbored and need 3rd part program but i dunno how or where to get it

here is the laptop info

ystem Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
System Model: HP Pavilion dv6700 Notebook PC
BIOS: Ver 1.00PARTTBL
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5750 @ 2.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz
Memory: 2046MB RAM

Display card
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS

Computer ( i think this is the motherbored ) : ACPI x86-Based PC


please if u can help me to downgrade i already have most of the drivers ready im stuck in installing the XP CD

What version of Vista is it ? You cannot regrade to XP with Vista Home editions.

vista has the sata drivers
xp does not
set sata to run as ide in the bios
when you go to install xp and it asks if you wish to load 3rd party drivers it may also require a driver to be loaded from floppy with F6
