3" Black Vertical Strip
I am hoping someone has a solution for me as I have a black 3" vertical strip on the right and where the taskbar usually is a thin taskbar size multi colour strip has appeared. I have had this before after my daughter went on a game off the internet and managed to do something when I restarted the laptop to fix this but I have forgot what I did. The screen resolution on the graphics properties will only display 1024x768 and 800x600 whereas before there were 6 or 7 differrent sizes which it was set to 1280x768. Do I make any sense to anybody? or am I just a babbling monkey? help please before I go totally crazy. Thank you

Re: 3" Black Vertical Strip
Does it look like that if you just go into BIOS settings? If not then it could be video drivers related. I would definitely start with uninstalling the video drivers and reinstalling or updating them from the ones in the laptop maker's website.
