Toshiba Satellite P205-S6267 No Sound
Next to my speaker icon is a red X. "No audio output device is installed" is what it tells me. Device Manager lists RealTek High Definition Audio under Sound, Video and Game Controllers.
I haven't made any changes to any of my laptop's hardware. What's up with this? How do I get my sound back? I'm a novice at this so you'll have to spell things out! Any help will be appreciated! Thanks, Lisa |

Re: Toshiba Satellite P205-S6267 No Sound
Hi Lisa,
Try in Device Manager and enable the device. Also check in Control Panel under Sound/Audio and see the settings.

Re: Toshiba Satellite P205-S6267 No Sound
TriggerFinger,
Thanks so much! The only option available when I right-clicked the RealTek High Definition Audio was "disable." So I did that and then selected "enable" the second time. Then my speaker icon gave me the option to unmute, which is what I wanted! It worked! Thanks, thanks, thanks! Lisa |
