hp laptop/vista won't boot
New laptop (HP Pavillion dv6910us--3mo old). Turned it on this morning and saw box where you enter sign-on password appear and then flicker several times as if struggling to stay on--then comp screen went black (blue control lights on keyboard panel remained on). Turned off computer then turned power on again. Screen stayed black and a few sec later I heard several beeps, maybe an alarm of some sort. This happened about 4 times. I let comp sit for about an hour and now seems to be fine. Anyone know what this may have been or if it is something to be concerned with? Don't know if it was the laptop itself or the vista program. Could vista have gotten jammed somehow at star-up. And if so, is this common with vista? Thanks in advance for any info.

Re: hp laptop/vista won't boot
was it plugged it or via battery? what does the system logs in the event viewer says??
maybe it was just a fluke, unless it happens again, imo, its nothing to worry about.
