OK,
You can still post the shots, but if you can't go to both and tell me what it says for Display Adapter.
Thanks,
Bill

Re: Windows 2000 stuck in 16 colors! Help!

Lets try a manual install of the driver.
Extract the driver from my previos post to a folder (name the folder so you know what and where it is).

On the settings tab click on Advance>Adapter.
You should have a choice of changing the adapter or updating driver (or simular).
Browse to search for the adapter and direct it to the folder you made.
Thanks,
Bill

Re: Windows 2000 stuck in 16 colors! Help!

When you downloaded the drivers on post #16 did you run the program (click on the file you downloaded) or just downloaded it to the desktop?

Re: Windows 2000 stuck in 16 colors! Help!

ok, are there any yellow exclamation marks in device manager? the normal installion in windows 2000 is service pack 4 then chipset first then video, audio, modem, ethernet controller etc. then update internet explorer to 6sp1. I assume that you are downloading in Finnish.
