Dead alienware? Black screen.
Hi everyone,
my alienware 5150 was working perfectly as usual and today it turned on but the screen remained black. Nothing happens. At all. I could rescue all my info in perfect conditions but I don't want to start rebooting or doing anything without a leading idea??? I use it for arch drawing and, of course, I have a deadline on Monday, and of course, I'm outside the US (Latin America) with no local telephone tech support. Should I add PLEASE HELP MEEEE???? |

Re: Dead alienware? Black screen.
see if you see a screen if you shine a torch on it
try connecting a monitor to it and see if you see the screen on that

Re: Dead alienware? Black screen.
did you see anything when you shined a torch on it
did you try a monitor the first will indicate if it is the backlight, inverter the second will determine if it is the video card or chip
