Toshiba USB sleep&charge on all the time.

Toshiba Satellite P305D-S8828, Vista HP, cannot turn off USB sleep & charge. I use an external USB HDD & it stays powered up when I put the unit to sleep. This feature used to work & I can't find anyway that I could have changed it to the state it is in now. In fact, it is not a normal state, as the USB ports are ON even when on battery & in sleep mode. That should be not allowed! I reset the power options to defaults & checked the BIOS & the setting for sleep & charge is "disabled" in BIOS. Help!

Fixed: Toshiba USB sleep&charge on all the time.

Not that anyone here is interested, but I found that the USB transceiver for my Logitech MX Nano mouse was keeping the USB ports powered all the time. The driver was set to "allow device to wake computer". DOH!! Still seems strange cause the USB ports stayed powered even on battery! The sleep & charge feature is disabled when on battery, but it seems that the "Allow to wake comp." is not treated the same.
Now if I can get this crappy Alps touchpad to work properly & the system fan from kicking into Hi speed so often, I will be happy.
