LCD interchangeability question

I have an HP NC6000 with a broken Samsung LTN141XB-L02 and wonder if it can be swapped with a Sharp LQ141X1LH63 from a Toshiba Tecra 9000. I know there are some that be swapped from the same manufacturere but wonder if the Samsung/Sharp swap is possible. Any experience with this one or one that will swap without problems? Thanx in advance.

Re: LCD interchangeability question

LCD's are quite difference from one another. Even if you have two of the same laptops sometimes they won't directly swap from one or another. Replacing an older LCD with into a newer system like that won't work.

Re: LCD interchangeability question

Usually you will only get lucky if the connectors are the same. To be sure base it on the LCD manufacturer part number. If they are from different makers they can still be compatible/swappable but would depend on the connectors. If they are from the same maker, just make sure their part number are the same regardless where or what brand of laptop they came from.
