computer wont boot

I have a acer aspire 5610z laptop. Just stopped working one day. I don't have a recovery disk. I tried to alt f10 a message came up I pressed enter and now when I try to reboot the computer comes on loads in safe mode with all the files and then the screen goes blank and I can only see the mouse arrow.... Now what. Please help!

Have you tried Startup Repair?

Won't even let me get there. Pressed f8 safe mode, all the files load and then the screen goes to a black screen with the mouse pointer. How else can I get to the alt f10?

Have you even tried it? It seems that either you have not tried it or missed the instruction that ALT+F10 is done when ACER logo appears (which is before your Windows logo shows up).
