Inspiron 1501 freezing up
I have a dell inspiron 1501 with AMD 64 Athlon X2 and I gig of RAM and XP Pro. After start up programs become unresponsive and Hard Disk Light remains lit. I don't know what is making this happen. Any Suggestions how to repair?

Re: Inspiron 1501 freezing up
You mean that when you power it ON, no lights turn ON, no activity whatsoever? Check your AC adapter output.

Re: Inspiron 1501 freezing up
Check your RAM first using Memtest. Then check your HDD using the HDD maker's diagnostic tool. D/load and burn the tools into a CD. Once done, pop in the CD and boot from CD drive. Diagnostic will run immediately. Observe any errors.
