hi, ive got the acer aspire 8920 laptop. some months back, my sound on my pc started to get all weird, i reinstalled the driver, the sounds is awesome but my mic isnt working anymore;( its a built in mic.
dont really know what to say, just ask question if u need to know more and please help me with this problem... yeah and be patient, im not really that good when it comes to Pc...

Tried using an external mic?
Check Sound/Audio in Control Panel. Open its propertes and go thru each tab. You will notice mic config parameters for recording or voice.. change as necessary.

i havent tryed with a external mic yet but when tested my mic in teamspeak, my mouth had do be right infront of it and i had to talk loud.. so its is picking up my voice... u can see that the volume control is maxed out -> http://bildr.no/view/261368 ( the language is in norwegian but its almost the same, microphone is mikrofon ect... )

Looks like your mic is working but just not sensitive enough. I did a quick search on this and I see that some were solved by a sound/audio driver and chipset driver update. I think it would be best if you start with this.

i think ive tried just about anything!! so annoying! isnt there some kind of driver i can download that fix everything? do u have the link to the sites u were browsing through?

sry but i didnt work, i cant even get to the "mic boost", im running on vista, are the options supposed to be different from xp?
i cant get to the "volume recording", is there anyway i can restore the driver ect to default? thanks 4 trying;) |
