hdd dead?
I had this problem about a week ago but managed to fix it using chkdsk utility. Today everything was working fine, then I installed a newer version of msn messenger. During install it lagged up, gave me the blue screen of death and rebooted. However, from that point on I could never get into windows. Safe mode wouldnt work, system restore only lead to another blue screen of death, diagnostics indicated failing hd tests.
What do these symptoms suggest? |

Re: hdd dead?
Run diagnostic for HDD. Get what brand of HDD you are using and d/load the appropriate diagnostic tool. See HDD Diags link on my sig.
