hp laptop black screen!
I power on the laptop and all lights come on but nothing on monitor! Tried rebooting a few times; put recovery disk in drive, but nothing happens either. This laptop is only about 1 yr old, and has never been dropped or traumatized! Help!!??

It is possible that the backlight has died. Look really closely and see if there is anything, next try to connect it to an external monitor.
