Dell Latitude D500
A friend gave me the above laptop, however I can not get it to boot. When I press the power button, the light comes on, but goes out after about 4 seconds. It does this with ac or battery.
Any ideas where to start? Thanks Mark |

Start with replacing the RAM. Use a new or good/working RAM.

Looks like there is a short. Remove the modem and Wireless card before your next power ON.
