Please help, New laptop messed up after format.
I just got an HP Pavilion dv2928se laptop with vista on it. I formatted it so it can run xp. Now I cannot connect to the internet nor can I find out the ethernet controller's manufacturer to help solve the problem. Can anyone please tell me what driver to get so I can connect to the internet.
Also, can anyone please tell me the chipset of this laptop and where I can download the drivers. Thanks Last edited by toxicasdf; 09-25-2008 at 12:32 AM. |

That is quite a difficult situation you got there... I suggest you go back to Vista at the moment (use recovery partition) and run PC Wizard or Everest. Here's a good guide on how to go about the downgrade:
