Trouble with HP Pavilion dv6000

Which forum should I post a thread to figure out why my notebook is not recognizing my wireless card?

Re: Trouble with HP Pavilion dv6000

Hi, this would be under drivers section really, might beable to get away with XP/Vista if that is your OS you are using, I'm not 100% sure though. If the mods feel it is in the wrong section they have the ablity to move it also.

To get you started, have you checked Device Manager (accessable through Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Device manager).

If you see the wireless card listed, uninstall it and then under the Action menu click scan for hardware changes. I'm assuming this is Vista snce its the Vista forum and I have vista and I had to do this a few times before.

That is only a quick solution for now since I don't have more information, which is also making it harder to pick a category sometimes. But you can try to restart the compute also and download the wireless driver from hps website.
