Beep 3 Time On Pavillion dv2000
Hello Guy
I bought a hp pavilion dv2000 a year an ago it was working fine until last month. when i turn on my laptop it make 3 beeps sound really loud and the screen doesn't come up Sometime it come up normal but you must be really lucky. Please help me it cost a lot of money to repair my laptop. sorry for my bad English.

It could be the video card or the RAM. Test the RAM to be sure using Memtest86+. Also check this document if this is related to your problem...

Having the same problem with the HP Pavilion dv2000, and I have noticed that it heats up constantly. Wanted to know if this could part of the problem why the laptop is not working now. Have taken out the ram and it bleeps 4 times so I am presuming that the motherboard may be at fault. However, if left on for a while and you quickly switch off and turn on again it sometimes works. What is going on with the HP's ...
